What Is the Item Duplication Glitch?
The Pokemon Emerald item duplication glitch allows you to duplicate an item. This can be done by giving a Pokemon in the PC an item that you want to duplicate.
Once the glitch has been triggered, you can get the item from the Pokemon inside the PC again.
What Do You Need to Execute the Glitch?
1. Accessing the Battle Tower and This NPC
You have to complete the main story first and access the Battle Frontier. Once you can access the Battle Frontier, head to the Battle Tower (building on the right).
Find the NPC (image above) and that’s where you can execute the glitch or part of it.
2. Pokemon and Items in the PC
You need to have several Pokemon deposited in the Pokemon PC. It doesn’t matter what Pokemon it is, the item duplication glitch will work.
How to Do the Pokemon Emerald Item Duplication Glitch
FOR THIS GUIDE, WE’LL BE DUPLICATING THREE POKEMON AND RARE CANDIES.
Step 1: Go to the PC and Access the Pokemon
Deposit any Pokemon in the Pokemon PC. If you already have some deposited, then that’s good enough.
Step 2: Select MOVE ITEMS
Step 3: Give the Pokemon the Items You Want to Deposit
In the image above, all three Pokemon will be given a Rare Candy.
Step 4: Save the Game
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT MOVE ANY POKEMON OR ITEM INSIDE THE PC AFTER SAVING.
Step 5: Withdraw the Pokemon With the Items You Want to Duplicate

Step 7: Select OPEN LEVEL
Step 8: Choose Two Pokemon
Step 9: Proceed to the Save Dialogue, but Do Not Save
Step 10: Reset the Game (CTRL + R)
Step 11: Load the Save File

When you pulled the glitch correctly, there should be Pokemon in your team with the items you wanted to duplicate.
Then, if you go to the Pokemon PC, the same Pokemon should be there with the same items. Simply get the items and RELEASE the Pokemon on the PC if you want to.
